Kentucky Children’s Hospital Needs Volunteers for Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 21, 2008) − UK HealthCare's Kentucky Children’s Hospital needs volunteers during the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, a world- class equestrian event featuring dressage, cross country and jumping. Volunteer opportunities are available April 22 - 27. In appreciation of the work of volunteers on behalf of Kentucky Children’s Hospital, the organizers of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event make a significant donation to the hospital. All volunteers enjoy the following benefits: an admission pass that can be used each of the four days of the event; volunteer parking pass; one lunch ticket; store discount of 20 percent (does not apply to clearance shop); and, best of all, volunteers can feel good knowing they helped make a donation possible to support health care for children. Volunteers helping with set-up will be taking shirts and other merchandise out of boxes, folding and placing them on display. Days and times available for these opportunities include: Tuesday, April 22 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.; Tuesday, April 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesday, April 22 from 3 to 6 p.m.; Wednesday, April 23 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.; Wednesday, April 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; and Wednesday, April 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. Volunteers in the Main Shop will be keeping merchandise on display in order, assisting customers, and bagging merchandise.
