Grading Policy Total possible points - 100 It is the goal of this class that every student succeeds, discovers that they can draw, and leaves the course with a full understanding of the drawing medium. There will be two portfolios in this class worth 25 points each. These will consist of the drawings done in class. One portfolio will be submitted at midterm and one before finals week. There will be one midterm drawing worth 15 points. The final drawing is worth 25 points. Class participation in critiques, preparedness, effort, positive attitude and your sketchbook (which will be explained in the first class) is worth 10 points. Critique participation is required. During classroom critiques students are expected to display their work in a group critique setting and to actively participate by voicing their opinions and observations about the assignment. All students are expected to learn the proper language (Art Elements and Principles) to describe the drawings. Midterm portfolio 25 points Final portfolio 25 points Midterm drawing 15 points Final Drawing 25 Points Class participation 10 Points Total 100 points Cell phones must not be used in a manner that is disruptive to the class.
