TENDER NOTIFICATION
Sealed tenders are invited by the undersigned on behalf of the President of India from the well-established firms registered with the Sales & Income Tax Department for supply of computer stickers as per specification mentioned below Computer stickers Requirement 600000 sheets (Lables) (Quantity subject 150000 sheets revision) at a time. Specification:size 7.4’’x12’’(18.5x30cms orient brand Having 6 sets of receipt half gummed) 2. The tender duly SEALED AND SUPERSCRIBED AT THE TOP OF THE COVER as “TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF computer stickers addressed to Shri K R Khandare, Superintendent, Postal Stores Depot, Karwar Road, Hubli-580029 should be submitted so as to reach him on or before 23/9/2004 at 1400 hrs. Any tender received beyond the stipulated date and time will not be entertained. The tenders will be opened by the undersigned or his authorized representatives at 1500 hrs on the same date in the presence of such of the tenderers or their representative (not more than one from each firm) who will be present.
3. Tender may be sent on a plain paper having signature, rate, both in words and figures for the quantity and full name and address of the tenderer.
4. An earnest money of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. Five hundred Only) should be deposited at any Post Office and receipt granted by it (ACG 67) should be enclosed to the tender. Earnest Money Deposit in any other mode will not be accepted. The EMD will not earn any interest. It will be returned to unsuccessful tenderer on finalization of deal and to the successful tenderer on furnishing the security. Tender received without EMD receipt will not be considered. Firms having registration with the NSIC/DGS&D are not required to furnish the EMD, but have to invariably enclose a copy of the certificate issued by the NSIC/DGS&D to the tender.
C O N D I T I O N S
1. The successful tenderer will have to furnish a security at 10% of the total value of the item in the form of Post Office saving bank account pledged to the President of India through the Superintendent, Postal Stores Depot, Hubli 580 029 within 10 days from the date of receipt of this office letter calling to do so. The passbook obtained thereon shall be forwarded to this office immediately. Failing which his EMD will be forfeited and name will be removed from the list.
2. Each tender must accompany-
1) Sample of the item notified for procurement. Sales tax registration certificate 2) Latest income tax clearance certificate. 3. The rate should be quoted per sheet inclusive of all taxes, packing, forwarding, transportation, insurance, other charges and delivery at Postal Stores Depot, Hubli-580 029.
4. The competent authority (Postmaster General, North Karnataka Region, Dharwad) accepting the tender will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender or to assign any reason for rejecting any or all the tenders and his decision in this regard will be final and binding.
5. The material should be delivered within 30 days from the date of supply order failing which, order will have to be considered for cancellation at the risk and cost of tenderer besides any other action deemed fit.
6. The rate accepted will be current for a period of one year from the date of acceptance of the tender.
7. 2.2% income tax will be deducted at source while effecting the payment. A certificate of income tax deduction at source will be issued in due course. .
8. The tenderer will be fully responsible for delivery of the material in good and sound condition at Postal Stores Depot, Hubli 580 029.
9. The Department will not be responsible for any increase in the cost of raw materials, taxes, freight etc., during the currency of the contract and any such increase will have to be borne by the tenderer.
10. The Contractor/Supplier will satisfy himself that the store is in accordance with the terms and conditions of tender submitted with the tender and fully conform to the required specification. The tender shall have to submit a declaration that necessary pre-inspection has been carried out of the stores ordered. The inferior quality of the store noticed on or after the supply will be returned to the supplier for replenishment of good quality/specification immediately at his cost.
11. If the successful tenderer fails to fulfill any of the conditions specified in the tender notice or fails to supply the required stores within the stipulated period, the security furnished by him will be forfeited to the Government without prejudice to any other action deemed fit.
12. The bill for the supply of stores will be passed for payment only after being fully satisfied about the quality, specification, etc., laid down in the tender notice.
13. The material should be supplied duly packed in corrugated boxes(of 2000sheets) containing 10 packets of 200 sheets each invariably so as to reach the destination without any damage.
14. The submission of tender by the tenderer itself shall be taken as his acceptance of all the terms and conditions laid down in this tender notice. Conditional tender will not be accepted.
15. Any attempt(s) for negotiation direct or indirect on the part of the tenderer with the authority competent to deal with the case at any stage of his endeavor to incur any interest unlawfully to become the actual or prospective tenderer or his exercising any influence by any means whatsoever for the acceptance of particular tender will render himself liable for exclusion from consideration.
