“Quality: Our Number One Priority”
CII - JGH Nursing Innovation Award Abstract Deadline: Friday April 16th, 2012 Call for Abstracts
Would you or members of your nursing unit like to develop an innovating idea addressing quality of care? The Conseil des infirmières et infirmiers (CII) is proud to invite you to participate in an innovation challenge!
The challenge is open to all nursing units and outpatient clinics. Entries may be individual or consist of a team of multidisciplinary members. Submissions will be reviewed by the members of the CII and the top three submissions will be awarded “2012 Council of Nurses Champions of Innovation” teams. Entries will be judged on creativity, leadership, quality, efficiency and patient safety.
The top three winning entries, as well as all submissions, will be highlighted during Nurses’ Week, May 7 to 11 2012, at the CII General Assembly. In addition, the top three winners will receive financial funding towards the initiation of their project. During a three year data collection, winners will be asked to present to the Council of Nurses (CII) the status of their project on a yearly basis with the end goal being to meet the eligibility criteria to submit their projects to the OIIQ regional contest (please refer to the Order des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Quebec website for more information). Continued guidance and encouragement will be provided by the CII members throughout the course of project development.
This competition’s goal is to:
1) Highlight the contribution of diverse approaches and critical thinking skills used by nurses in delivering care to our patients and/or families.
2) Advance the nursing profession and enable the exchange of information between professionals.
