GATHER (Convening Leaders)  OCCF & Huron Pines partnered to bring a board training for all nonprofits to the area on Tuesday, October 21. Over 20 leaders from various groups participated. Thank you Paul and Mary for representing the OCCF!

 The OCCF is hosting a regional Youth Advisory Committee Training on Sunday, November 23, from 1-5 pm at the Otsego County Sportsplex. Ellen Blanchard, CMF Philanthropy Outreach Coordinator is facilitating

 InFocus-North: The Collaboration Challenge: How to Support and Encourage Innovative Working Relationships in Northern, Thursday, November 20th at Treetops. This is a program sponsored by CMF and it is exciting that we will be hosting. Collaboration will be essential in the Northeast Michigan Prosperity Initiative 5 year plan.

GRANT (Awarding Grants)  $281,047.37 awarded in grants to date vs. $140,251 in 2013  Vanderbilt Schools was awarded the Fall I Love My Community Grant for their music program

OTHER  In July we introduced the Board to 20/20, a staff initiative to share our story in honor of our 20th anniversary. The goal of 20/20 is to share the story of the OCCF 20 times in 2014 with community leaders, neighbors, friends,  As of October 30, we met our goal. Through this initiative 301 heard our story.  While we have met our first goal let’s continue to think of people who would benefit from hearing the story of the OCCF. See the report following.
