The Transcript Evaluation Department requires that students submit all academic course work for review prior to a student’s enrollment. We do understand that from time to time it may not be necessary or possible to submit every transcript, test score, or certificate for academic review. For this reason we have set up a transcript Exclusion Process to aid you in your admission to WGU. To initiate an exclusion request, applicants must submit the completed exclusion form along with supporting documentation to the Transfer Evaluation Department not less than three business days prior to the transcript deadline for your planned start term. You will be notified in writing of the final outcome within three business days after all required documentation is received. Please send all completed forms and attachments to [email protected] or faxed to 801-665-1458. Please note the following WGU policies: We require Official or Unofficial transcripts from the issuing institution to process most transcript exclusions. NO transfer credit will be accepted once transcript exclusion has been processed for the requested institution. NO exclusions will be processed for students using Military/VA funding. Exclusions granted by the Transcript Evaluations Department may be later voided by other departments if the documentation is deemed necessary by the department requesting the void. In these cases exclusion appeals would be recalled and the documentation will be required. Exclusions requested for AP Tests, CLEP Tests, High School Diplomas, and IB’s will not require additional documentation to be submitted. Only one school can be excluded per form submission. Please submit additional forms for each school for which an exclusion appeal is being requested. Refer to the WGU Student Handbook (www.wgu.edu/sh) for transfer and content equivalency guidelines. All exclusion results are final unless additional documentation is provided that would necessitate further review.
