1 Aug 15, 1128 hours. Deceptive Practices. 6506 W Gunnison Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had used his Debit MasterCard at a Speedway gas station in Ohio for $72.34. Card was cancelled. 3 Aug 15, 1526 hours. Deceptive Practices. 4613 N Newland. Victim stated that unk off(s) had used her Consumers Visa card making purchases in the amount of $3,949.33. 13 Aug 15, 1621 hours. Deceptive Practices. 4725 N Harlem. (Marshalls). Unk off(s) had used a TJX Rewards credit card in the victim’s name charging $1,056.26 and $400.69 at Carson’s in Norridge. HHPD Detective Division investigating. 16 Aug 15, 0618 hours. Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding. 6600 blk Gunnison Ave. HHPD Officer attempted to stop a 2002 Toyota Rav 4 for speeding. Vehicle attempted to elude officer traveling at a high rate of speed and disobeyed numerous stop signs. Vehicle crashed into residence at 4945 N Nottingham, Chicago and the driver ran from the scene. Driver was later apprehended by assisting officers. A Kouakou, Kouane M/B 22 YOA, 14 S 15th Ave, Maywood was charged with Felony Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding along with numerous traffic violations and was held in lieu of a bond hearing.

Burglary / Thefts / Criminal Damage to Property 1 Aug 15, 1520-1544 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated he had stopped an M/W subject for taking groceries he had placed into his cargo shorts without paying. Investigation by HHPD also learned that the subject had also taken alcoholic beverages on five previous occasions without paying which was captured on CCTV. A Rzeznik, Robert M/W 51 YOA, 8558 W Rascher, Chicago was charged with 6 counts of Misdemeanor Retail Theft on signed complaints. 1 Aug 15, 1200-1746 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 7512 W Winnemac. Victim stated unk off(s) had dented her black 2010 BMW driver’s side door with an unk tool while it was parked on the street. 3 Aug 15, 1629 hours. Theft from Motor Vehicle. 7416 W Carmen. Victim stated that unk off(s) had taken his Catalytic Converter from his parked silver 1998 Chevy Malibu between 25-26 Jul 15, 2300-0700 hours. 4 Aug 15, 2215-2219 hours. Retail Theft. 4850 N Harlem. (Harlem Convenience). Complainant stated a M/W subject, 5’7” tall, 140 LBS, Blue shirt and shorts placed a bottle of Wild Irish Rose wine valued at $4.99 and left the store without paying. 5 Aug 15, 1727 hours. Criminal Trespass to Residence. 6507 W Sunnyside. Victim stated a M/H subject, 30-40 YOA, wearing a black cap, black/green sunglasses, white T shirt, blue jeans had entered her residence without permission thru the back door and when confronted the subject stated he was here for the concrete job then fled on foot in the alley. 5-6 Aug 15, 1800-1245 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 4833 N Olcott. Victim stated that unk off(s) had scratched the rear bumper of his parked 2009 black Cadillac Escalade. 6-7 Aug 15, 1530-0600 hours. Burglary/Forced. 4747 N Harlem (Starbucks). Victim stated unk off(s) had cut off the lock of his construction site storage unit and took a $700.00 gray and orange, 5,700 watt Rigid generator. 7-8 Aug, 1530-1000 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 7171 W Gunnison. Victim stated that unk off(s) had shattered the front passenger window on her parked 2008 silver Hyundai Elantra. 11 Aug 15, 1101-1107 hours. Retail Theft. 4713 N Harlem (Cricket Wireless). Sales employee stated that 2 B/B subjects and 2 F/B subjects all around mid-20’s had taken 3 pairs of LG Tone Pro Bluetooth wireless headsets valued at $209.97 leaving the store without paying. Incident captured on CCTV. 12 Aug 15, 1218 hours. Theft. 4436 N Natchez. Victim stated a M/H subject attempted to ride off with his bicycle and then dropped the bike when he was approached by the victim. The offender fled on foot E/B. The offender was later described as being 5’5” tall, 100 LBS, 20-25 YOA, black hair, light skin, white T-shirt, blue jeans holding a plastic bag. 13 Aug 15, 0600-2000 hours. Theft from Motor Vehicle. 7501 W Strong. Victim stated that unk off(s) had taken his rear registration sticker from his parked 2008 black Chevy Equinox. 17 Aug 15, 1700 hours. Theft. 6940 W Montrose Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had taken his Red Honda lawnmower valued at $400.00 from within his backyard. 17 Aug 15, 1714 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated that he observed on CCTV 3 F/B subjects, mid 20’splace 6 bottles of hard liquor valued at $180.94 inside of a shopping cart then left the store without paying for the merchandise. The subjects then exited the lot traveling in a mid 2000’s black Ford Fusion, unk plate. HHPD Detective Division investigating. 20-21 Aug 15, 2222-0633 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 6415 W Sunnyside. Victim stated that unk off(s) had spray painted graffiti in black paint “We Find You” on her garage. 20-21 Aug 15, 2200-0700 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 7361 W Leland. Victim stated that unk off(s) had spray painted graffiti in black paint “Luis was here” on his garage. 21 Aug 15, 1741 hours. Retail Theft. 7401 W Lawrence. (Mariano’s). Loss Prevention agent stated he observed a M/W subject remove a bottle of Johnnie Walker whiskey valued at $64.99 and attempted to leave the store without paying. Subject was stopped by the agent who was able to retrieve the alcohol. Subject then ran from the agent and was later apprehended by HHPD. An Uvakov, Vasil G M/W 43 YOU, 8635 W Foster Ave, Chicago was charged with Misdemeanor Retail Theft on a signed complaint. 26 Aug 15, 1415-1720 hours. Residential Burglary. 4333 N Newcastle Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had entered his home via rear door and had taken $2,000.00 from his bedroom dresser drawer and also jewelry, watches, a camera, shoes and other items. HHPD E.T. processed the scene. HHPD Detective Division investigating. 27-28 Aug 15, 2130-0745 hours. Criminal Damage to Property. 4748 N Newcastle Ave. Victim stated that unk off(s) had spray painted obscenities on the ground in front of his garage and onto a utility pole. HH public works resurfaced over the asphalt covering up the graffiti.

Crimes against Persons 4 Aug 15, 2119 hours. Assault. 4600 N Oak Park Ave. Victim stated she observed an M/B subject and a F/W subject arguing on the street. Victim then shielded the F/W subject from the M/B subject with him stating “You cannot stop me if I wanted to attack you” as he advanced towards the victim in an aggressive manner. A Kern, Christian M/B 22 YOA, 3812 N 25th Ave Schiller Park was placed into custody for Assault on a signed Misdemeanor complaint. 7-8 Aug 15, 0700-0400 hours. Aggravated Battery. 7171 W Gunnison, Apt#406. Victim stated she had confronted her boyfriend about a hand print on her one year old son’s face. An altercation ensued when she attempted to leave. The offender then pushed her onto a bed and the floor numerous times. The offender also began throwing furniture and punching holes in the wall. The victim tried to run to the elevator to get away when the offender grabbed her by the hair dragging her back to the apartment damaging her wrist and arm. The victim was able to get away and ran to a neighbor’s apartment. HHPD officers arrived on scene and apprehended the offender in the parking lot who was attempting to leave the scene. A Dorner, Nathan R, M/W 23 YOA, 7171 W Gunnison, Apt# 406 was placed into custody for Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery of a Child, Domestic Battery, Unlawful Restraint and Criminal Damage to Property on signed Misdemeanor and Felony complaints. The offender was held in lieu of a bond hearing. 19 Aug 15, 1415 hours. Disorderly Conduct. 4747 N Harlem. (Hair Cuttery). Victim stated she had received an obscene phone call from an unk male caller who she has recognized the voice from a previous obscene call in February. HHPD Detective Division Investigating. 20-21 Aug 15, 2100-2034 hours. Domestic Battery/ Aggravated Assault. 6674 W Montrose Ave. Victims stated an altercation between brothers led to the arrest of the primary aggressor. A Loebbaka, Christopher M M/W 32 YOA, 6274 W Montrose Ave, Harwood Heights was charged with three counts of Misdemeanor Domestic Battery and 1 count of Aggravated Assault all on signed complaints.

Home repair scams/ Ruse burglaries. Reminder: Do not allow anyone into your residence that you do not know and didn’t call for service. Scam artists knock on your door offering to repair something in or around your home for a very low price. They ask you to pay upfront and you will never see them again or if you allow them inside your residence, they will distract you and steal your valuables. All Village Employees/PublicWworks have IDs on them at all times. Ask for ID and call 911 for verification.
