Invitation for Agenda additions Refund policy & form

Quick announcements 1) WCC will be the pilot campus for the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Accessibility Program)- E&T. Matt Carlisle is the consultant from Washing state who shared about their successful DHS project. In Washington state, Matt’s program is called BFET (Basic Foot Employment & Training). Matt is the designated consultant for us as we move to develop Hawaii SNAP & NET program. Our pilot program will be put out to another 2-3 campuses in the future until all campuses are included. Presently WCC will be part of Rapid Response money which Scott is helping to fund WCC. Our focus is on the credit programs because with SNAP-NET, matching goes with non-federal monies, much of what we work with is federal. Because credit has more non-federal monies and more number of students, focus is on credit side – federal funds will match the non-federal monies/funds. 2) iCAN will be setting up School for Adults in Waimanalo. 3) $129 is the tuition rate we will bill classes effective September 1st. There was a $40 difference between campuses I the past. 4) Coordinators are invited to the DOCET meeting on June 16th.

Follow-up on “old business” Jane has modified/revised the Risk & Release form which is on the CCE website. Ocean Safety will be using this and their Ocean Safety Risk & Release form. Personal Enrichment classes will be given the Risk & Release form in their packet (the packet is given to students enrolled in the class)

Upcoming enrollment report See attached 1) Registration office is still working on a system to get the most update enrollment for all classes. Eventually they will phase out the hard copy registration files and directly input customer’s registration into Destiny 2) 5-day refund policy is being enforced 3) Reminder: Student Registration form must be filled out appropriately. If student is not paying for fees and a 3rd party is paying for fees- the 3rd party registration form must be filled out. 4) Risk & Release form-Jane is going to look into the different forms on wording 5) Revised Course and Section Form were distributed, are available on the CCE website and Carolynn emailed a copy on April 22nd Coordinators are to use this form. If there are any changes, please let Kacie know; these forms are still a work-in-process

Registration Refund form and Section form has been added into the CCE staff page Refund only if 5-days prior to class start Coordinators & Directors need to sign-off on refund form - 5 day rule still applies or needs good/legitimate reason for refund

Web site – proofing dates, content, information to public Coordinators please review total enrollment count Importance of registering students into Destiny to generate enrollment report Ian’s Friday/Saturday class moved from Alaka‘i to Kuhina Recommendation to coordinators: look at sections in Destiny – on low enrollment and a lot of classes offered - combine sections System is looking at efficiency of OCET operations, whether good or bad management, therefore sections with zeros roll students into next section.

Marketing 1) Ian’s HOEA blessing on May 29th. Kathy is coordinating the tables; Kacie the reception table. 2) Need to create reward system to increase enrollment 3) On the CCE website when you join our mailing list you can select different areas of interest then we can recommend classes and send eBlast. 4) Preshess to email coordinators; coordinators are advised to check and review their course listings in Destiny to make sure everything appear correct. 5) Coordinators’ upcoming classes and courses in the planning phase to be discussed in coordinator’s meeting to follow. 6) CCE is now listed in the Kumuao website as an eligible training provider.
