Press Release : For Immediate Release Resident Notification/Operation Help

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department is excited to notify its residents that they will again be supporting Operation Help. This event is a 120 hour live broadcast and donation drive and is run by 103.7 WMGM morning show team of JoJo and Scotty, who will be camping out for the duration of the event. Operation Help benefits the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and a variety of other charities. The collection point and broadcast location will be at the English Creek shopping center at Chickie’s and Pete’s. Donations will be accepted 24 hours a day beginning Saturday November 23rd through Wednesday November 27th. Donations of non- perishable food items, winter coats, cash, furniture and even frozen turkeys will all be accepted. All usable items will make it to the right charity.

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department will also be a collection point for this event. Donations can be dropped off at our station and we will have it transported out to Chickie’s and Pete’s. We will also be conducting a pick-up service for donations made by Egg Harbor Township residents on Tuesday November 26th. Residents can request this service by emailing us at [email protected] or messaging us at the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Facebook page. Please let us know what you are donating and where it will be located. We will pick it up and deliver it to the main collection point.

This is the sixth year for Operation Help and Egg Harbor Township Police Department is proud to be part of this effort for the second year in a row and challenges other municipalities and emergency services to match our effort.
