Soft and Hard Elements the Adea Way

PRESS RELEASE 12.9.2007 Kauhajoki

Soft and hard elements the Adea way

Adea presents plenty of newcomers in their collection at Habitare07- fair. New furnishing ideas by Finnish designers improve interiors in homes as well as in public spaces.

Season- sofa, armchair and ottoman are simple in their form. The sofa and the chairs are a dream come true for the interior design- enthusiast! The removable upholstery can be easily changed to create different styles in home. Outlook can be altered also by choosing the upholstery as short-or long- hemmed, or by adding cushions. Differently shaped ottomans compliment the sofas and chairs or work as themselves.

D-table, L-levels and Mood- rugs complement the Adea-collection for the first time. The light table is perfect paired with the sofas and the chairs in the collection. Levels can be used also as tables and shelves. Measurements of the low shelves comply with the Band- sofas, which makes them easy to mix and match. The colours of the hand tufted, light and easy-care wool/linen rugs are coordinated with the furnishing fabrics. An innovative way to combine loops and cut pile creates a lively and soft surface. The collection also has 100% wool rugs. Design Petra Lassenius Adea/ Vepsäläinen, 6b41

Sali-sofa is a light and transformable seat. A module sofa is easier to fit into tighter places or more demanding interior solutions. The designer Tomi Koivula’s attraction to angular shapes has not stuck to the traditional box-like models, but created new kinds of airy and beautiful lines. The quality and easy-care are also emphasized in the sofa, as the seating has firm and comfortable springs and the easily changeable upholstery. The square or round back cushions also add possibilities in creating a personal look. Design Tomi Kouvola Adea/ Laavu ja timantti, Ahead! 5c12

Aavikko- furniture breaks boundaries and with its surprising forms is suited to public spaces as well as homes. The designer Juho Pasila emphasizes the importance of try-outs and questioning, the best result comes from carefully thought out design and realisation. “The seat should be visually and ergonomically so pleasant, that one does not pay any attention the act of sitting itself”, says Pasila. A foretaste of the coming Aavikko- collction can be seen in Habitare07 by viewing the comfortable chair and footrest. The comfy chair has leather or fabric upholstery, and with metal legs it is also light to move. This chair stands out from the crowd and is suited in homes, cafes as well as waiting rooms.
