All the morning buses and day care vans arrive at Parkman prior to 8:35 each day. Parents have done a wonderful job dropping off students in the “valet drop-off” area in the parking lot.
The “valet drop-off” process is: Drive into the handicap parking area (do not park) and have your child immediately exit out the passenger side of the vehicle. Pull away from the area as soon as your child leaves your car. There is always a teacher on duty to monitor the students as they exit your car and walk to the school.
The afternoon dismissal process is:
Only day care vans and buses will load in the circle in the front of the school. Day care vans line up first followed by the buses.
At the “get ready” bell at 2:55, all students prepare for the 3:01 dismissal bell & daycare students are dismissed.
At 3:01, walkers and the first bus are dismissed by the secretary.
o Walkers exit out the 2 west playground side doors and the east side door (parking lot). Children exiting the parking lot exit are to wait in the grassy area until an adult comes to get them. No children are allowed in the parking lot by themselves. A teacher is always on duty.
o Bus students exit out the front doors.
o Students waiting for their bus to be called remain in their classrooms.
Students are released from their classrooms when their bus number is called.
A last call announcement is made between each bus.
Advance notice is very much appreciated if you are picking up your child from school early.
IF YOU BELIEVE IT, YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT!
