This will explain to the students what a riddle is and begin to explain what a “Beep Sweep” is. TTW then explain that a “Beep Sweep is a one syllable answer to a rhyming riddle. A Beepy Sweepy is a two syllable answer to a rhyming riddle. A Beepety Sweepety is a three syllable answer to a rhyming riddle. TTW then allow the students use EBSCO to search for pictures, videos, and articles that relate to the solar system. After exploring the solar system in EBSCO, TSW then use their explanation of how to create a Beep Sweep and begin to create one. TSW create their picture and riddle in Kid Pix, save it as a jpeg and then place it into a Power Point slide. They will insert a symbol or box to cover the answer. TSW also make that box move, using Custom Animation, to reveal the answer when ready. Another variation to this is to save your Riddle and picture, then Open the Slide Show in Kid Pix and bring your picture into it. Print it out as a Card/Booklet, 4 slides per page. The students will then cut out their slide and use it to complete the Structure Quiz Quiz Trade. Materials: Book What Do You Call A Rhyming Riddle?
