KNOLLWOOD CLUB, LAKE FOREST, IL GENERAL MANAGER Founded in 1924, located on 240 rolling acres in Lake Forest, Illinois, Knollwood Club is one of the premier country clubs in Illinois. Members and guests alike enjoy the wide array of traditionally elegant facilities. The centerpiece of the club is the C.H. Alison designed golf course, chosen several times as a championship level course for USGA and PGA events. The members of Knollwood Club also enjoy a full calendar of dining and social events, active racquets and swimming programs, as well as wintertime skeet shooting and cross country skiing. Knollwood’s, newly renovated, championship golf course was designed by the golf course architecture firm of Colt and Alison, and opened for play in 1925. The Club members are fortunate to have extraordinary areas in which to practice golf skills with the main practice range tee including 18 hitting stations, 6 target greens, 2 Short Game Areas and 2 Putting Greens. The club also features: 6 Har-Tru outside tennis courts, 3 platform courts and a wonderful pool facility, which includes seasonal cabanas and summer pavilion dining. The Knollwood Clubhouse was completely rebuilt in 2000, maintaining the traditional architectural style and blends beautifully with the landscape and existing buildings. The elegant surroundings are the perfect backdrop for members and their guests to enjoy everything from intimate dinners to gala events. Knollwood is an outstanding club featuring excellent food service that rivals the finest North Shore restaurants. The gross dollar volume of the club is $5,198, 000 with food and beverage revenues of $1,734,000. Please visit the website at: www.knollwoodclub.org.
