Kay M. Creasman Assistant Vice President / Counsel

Kay has at various times during her career maintained a private law practice focusing on real estate, small business matters and wills; owned and operated a title insurance agency and settlement company for 10 years; been employed by other national title insurance underwriters as counsel in Virginia and West Virginia; searched title in the courthouses in Virginia; and spoken at numerous seminars on real estate and title insurance. In addition to working in real estate settlements and title, she has also taught from 1980-2001 in the business schools, full time at VCU, and as an adjunct at the University of Richmond.

She received degrees from the University of Richmond law school (JD), Tulane University (Med), and Athens College(BS). An active member of the Virginia Land Title Association (VLTA) since 1994 she has served on the Board of Directors, as President (2003-2004); as a member/chairperson of the Education Committee and of the Legislative Committee. She is also active with the Real Estate Section of the Virginia State Bar.
