The Feco Group Creates Spatial Solutions That Connect and Inspire People

1. Press Release

1. Sound-absorbing and flush-fitting

Karlsruhe, January 2017. Karlsruhe-based feco Systeme GmbH's new A75 corridor-side flush-fitting aluminium frame glass door element is impressing users at Microsoft's new headquarters building in Munich. feco complied with the client's request to supplement the fecofix flush-mounted double glazing with a Sound- Insulation Category 3 glass-door element, in which the glass door leaf lies in the level of the corridor-wall glazing. The result is a continuously flush transparent glass corridor wall with enhanced soundproofing. The fecofix glass door element with a sound insulation value of Rw,P = 42 dB, is used in all feco system partition walls.

The 75-mm-thick double-glazed aluminium tubular frame door leaf is rebated on the room side and fitted with a stop seal as a second sealing level. The edged hinge plates of the stainless steel commercial door hinges are flush-fitted in the door-leaf frames. The aluminium frame with a 50-mm frame mirror on the corridor-side front and 18 mm on the room-side, is fitted with three- dimensionally adjustable hinge supports. The inclusion of internal blinds in the door-leaf interspace is possible as an option. These can be either manually or electrically operated. The door leaf can be opened when installed for maintenance purposes. The fecofix A75 glass door element supplements the

previously available A60 glass door element with up to Rw,P = 37 dB, with an identical-looking corridor-side highly sound-absorbing variant. It combines discretion and transparency in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

1. feco Systeme GmbH feco Systeme GmbH develops space-defining partition wall systems for high design and construction-related requirements. The company sells system components to licensed partners worldwide. Commercial-property carpenters and large interior design companies create the system partition walls according to their respective country-specific requirements. As the licensor, feco provides partners with access to a sophisticated wall system. This includes upright, glass-frame and connecting profiles, as well as static, sound and fire prevention test certificates. Thus, there are many solid and glass wall systems available, and these are used in the buildings of high-profile customers. The design possibilities range from solid walls with veneer or melamine surfaces, to single-pane or double-glazing glass walls.

2. feco-feederle GmbH feco-feederle GmbH creates challenging projects realized with feco system partition walls and strong brand office furnishings.
