1. Did you find the format of this Forum Meeting beneficial?

32 Yes/0 No Comments Well Planned. Very good. Guest speaker was excellent. Very beneficial. Very good presenter of a topic which I thought I knew about, but have learned so much more tonight. Extremely informative. Very thought provoking. Yes, informative and also open to parents for questions and discussion. Excellent, very informative. Great presentation. Excellent. Laura a brilliant presenter and very knowledgeable. It was very informative, hard hitting, eye opening. Excellent. Very informative.

2. Did you find the information regarding ‘Internet Safety’ helpful? 32 Yes/0 No Comments Excellent Talk, A lot of very good content and gained a better understanding on this. I’m a complete Technophobe so going home to have a talk with my two 13 year olds. Very much. Very informative and good format. Extremely helpful. Presentation and hand outs were very good. Educational and insightful. Very informative. I found this very informative and have learned a lot which I will pass to my daughter. Very informative. Excellent. Very helpful. Instagram section about #cool is very concerning! Thank you. Very helpful and hard hitting. Again very informative raised my awareness. Very interesting. Feel this should be a regular item as this aspect changes so quickly. Highlighted a few measures I could take in monitoring social media. Very informative and helpful. Very well explained by Laura. Very helpful with lots of information. Yes certainly opens your eyes! Yes, video excellent and thought provoking. I found the talk very interesting and found out things I didn’t know. I could have listened to PC Taylor all night. Very helpful, I already make sure of privacy settings. Yes, learned a lot regarding this.

3. Are there any other issues/topics you would wish to hear presentations given on? 14 Yes/18 No Comments Health and Well Being. Post school Career/Education choices and how to plan. Religion (attending Mass) with teenage children and teaching them faith. Can’t think of any at moment. Perhaps for older children-alcohol, drugs, crime?? Supporting your child through study. Practical examples of how to ‘deflect’ kids Internet use to more productive purposes apart from Social Media use all the time. Raising awareness of STEM Ambassadors in the school. Issues around consent and personal boundaries-in the light of media stories about the epidemic of inappropriate sexual behaviour. Depression/anxiety in young adults how to recognise signs and how to deal with appropriately i.e. (who do I approach). This should be reviewed regularly. How develop/improve communication skills given above topic on a person to person face to face level. A video with Employers looking at CVs alongside social media to put children off putting inappropriate information on it would be useful! Any information to do with adolescence.

4. Would you be interested in forming part of the focus group on the 8th November to look at the on-line Parent Information Evening booking system? 15 Yes/ 17 No

5. Any other comments Very informative thanks. Good to involve parents in children’s education, what the school are teaching them about also in the real world so that parents can discuss with them at home. Thank you for information evening.
