1. Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 7:02pm via conference call.

2. Financials A. Review 12-13 Financials A.i. Review of Financial Report from Treasurer. Current balance is $9,610.00 A.ii. Dues structure: Due to rising ice costs and new format for end of the year tourney, league dues will increase slightly. B. 2013-14 team fees. (Fees for pre-season and championship tournaments included in league dues). The increase to cover rising ice costs and double elimination year end tourney. B.i. Mite: TBD (if we have a jamboree series) B.ii. Squirt: $950 increase to $1000 B.iii. Peewee: $950 increase to $1000 B.iv. Bantam: $1000 increase to $1050 B.v. Midget: $1025 increase to 1075 3. Confirmation of Board and Committee Chairs A. Officers: A.i. President: Jason Bowra A.ii. Vice President: Gary Dickstein A.iii. Secretary: Scott Davis A.iv. Treasurer: Keith Kenitzer (Looking for a new volunteer) A.v. Conduct Chair: Stew Erisman A.vi. Webmaster: Craig Davis A.vii. Mite Director: Craig Davis (Looking for a co-director) A.viii. Squirt Director: Mike Ohlinger A.ix. Peewee Director: Evan Porter A.x. Bantam Director: Brad Tipple A.xi. Midget U16 and Midget U18 Director: (Bob Bove) – Dayton Stealth, Cincy Swords, N. Kentucky and Columbus, IN will have U16 teams) A.xii. Tournament Director– Andy Pokepec NOTE: Actively looking for new leadership for next year to replace President and Vice President. Please contact Jason Bowra ASAP. 4. Buckeye Constitution/Bylaw Revisions A. Fair Play Points A.i. All agreed this helped and we should keep this.. B. 90 second penalties B.i. All agreed to keep in place.
5. Review New Team Applications A. West Virginia Wild in Charleston, WV B. Indy Fishers changing name to Indy Racers C. Cincinnati Swords
6. Pre-season Tournament Info Date – Sept. 13(Local Teams) 14 & 15, 2013 Location(s) – Goggin, Northland, Gardens, and Indian Hill i. Teams who wish to play in the preseason before committing to the league must go through the registration process and submit a payment of $250.00 for pre-season tourney. What do we do about teams that cannot fill a roster for the seeding tourney? i. All agreed this is not fair to each team they play as well as very difficult for competition committee to accurately rank a team who does not have a full team. ii. All agreed that you must have 10 skaters and one goalie to be eligible to play. iii. If team does not have the required number of players for ALL GAMES, a $250.00 fine will be assessed and the team will automatically be assigned to a higher division than originally assigned. iv. Any team falling into this category may appeal their tentative assignment like any other team. Scheduling i. NO ONE may begin the process of scheduling games prior to the announcement of divisional assignments on Sept. 26, 2013. ii. All games must be scheduled before the conclusion of the scheduling meeting on September 28th ii.1.NOTE: This will be a conference call iii. No League games should be played before October 7, 2013.
7. Year End Tournament Info Location and Date i. Cincinnati/Dayton Area ii. Feb 21 – 23, 2014 (Games will begin at 12 noon on 2/21/14) Awards i. Trophy for first place in each division for the full year. ii. Medals for first and runner up.
8. Other Business A. Mite and U16 Division A.i. Discussions were held on both topics and everyone on the call agreed that the Buckeye should try and have a Mite and U16 Division. We will work on this over the summer. Please email the board if you have potential teams. Logistics i. Reminder to organizations that USA hockey approved jerseys must be worn for league games. You cannot have different color jerseys. ii. All players must be on the USA hockey roster. You cannot have multiple numbers or players not on the roster. iii. All scheduled league games must be completed by 10 pm EST. All exceptions MUST be approved by the league commissioner. iv. All teams MUST provide each visiting team with a minimum of two scheduled game times in a single day to complete league games.
9. Important 2013 Dates Team applications with league dues postmarked by no later than: August 10, 2013 . USA Hockey approved team rosters are due September 2, 2013. Stamped roster must be turned in at the pre- season tournament and also sent to division director. Date for pre-season tournament. September 13,14, 15, 2013 i. The schedule for the pre-season tournament will be posted on or before September 1. Tournament placement committee meeting. As required after tournament. Preliminary divisions posted on or before September 23rd, 2013 Petitions due from teams to move up or down a division. By NO LATER than 5:00pm on Sept. 24, 2013 Petition review meeting. Sept. 25th, 2013 at 5:00pm Final divisions posted. Sept. 26th, 2013 Date of scheduling meeting. Sept 28th. Conference Call Dates for Championship Tournament: Feb. 21, 22 & 23 2013. Some teams will be required to play on Friday as early as 12 noon.
