History: After the founding of New China (in 1949), Tai Ji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan) underwent unprecedented development. Physical educators and medical personnel in China have collected and studied various schools of Tai Ji Quan. Special hanging charts, books and musical compositions have been published. In 1956, a simplified set of Tai Ji Quan, based on the most popular sequences of the Yang Style was developed. This series consists of 24 postures which progress logically from the easy to the difficult, and take 6 - 8 minutes to complete. This simplified "Tai Ji Quan" has proven to be the most popular from of Tai Chi in the world. Provided by: ZhenKang (Kevin) Sun www.SunTaiJiQuan.com
