Hindu gods and goddesses http://www.indhistory.com/hindu-god.html Very nice clear site where children can scroll down the page and see the pictures of the Gods and Goddesses. They can then click on a picture for more information and a bigger image.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/hinduism/beliefs/index.shtml Excellent but very text-driven site. Extremely clear, accurate and informative but sadly low on pictures. But gives some very good and simple information dispelling myths about what Hindus believe and how many Gods there are.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/people/features/world_religions/hinduism.shtml Informative site but VERY wordy – somewhat dry for children. However, for good readers and those interested it provides clear and careful information about the place of Gods and Goddesses in Hinduism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_Goddess This is a useful ‘starter page’ where children can then follow links to read stories about the different Goddesses and see their pictures. Children can also scroll down this page to find individual Goddesses, including Durga. The stories are not too wordy, although the many different names may be hard for children to read and assimilate.
