Dear Greenwich Families,

On Friday, January 16, 2015, we will pilot an alternate Friday dismissal plan. Student safety was our top priority in planning this new process. The new Friday design involves loading the elementary students on their buses prior to boarding the JSHS students. Here are the key points of the plan:

 Buses will line up between the Primary and Middle grade buildings at 2:15 PM.  The elementary students will board buses starting at 2:20 PM.  Once loaded the buses will proceed around the block to the JSHS for the normal 2:30 pick up.  Once the buses exit the elementary loading area, walkers will be dismissed. The walker dismissal should occur at the same time as usual.  The Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department has been consulted and will observe dismissal on the 16th. Crossings Guards are aware of this plan and will assist students in this new process.

Please note that this is a trial to test the new Friday loading plan. If the plan works well, we will look to adjust our Friday dismissal pattern permanently. Please contact your Building Principal if you have any additional questions about the plan.
