Chapter News:  New email address: [email protected] o We are experiencing some struggles in sending out notifications to a “mass contact group”. Please be patient while we work on a solution.  Our Chapter Recognition Goal for award points this year is 19,501 o Each chair position has a separate list of things we can do to get points. We distributed each list to the chairs. For those that were absent, it will be distributed via email. o Please bring this with you to each meeting and provide updates for points for your respective areas. o Suggest and coordinate ideas at each meeting on ways we can get points for these areas. o Deadline for 1st quarter point submission is September 30th.

Treasurer’s Statement:  Sam Ddamba was not able to attend today’s meeting, however, he provided the Treasurer’s statement for August 2016, showing an ending balance of $34,849.34  Patricia has volunteered to be the Treasurer Co-Chair for this year. She will be the 2nd holder of the credit card swipe device, and will be able to assist in taking payments for registration duties.  Switching banks: There is still strong interest in moving our account from TFCU to OECU. Sam and Patricia will need to work together to gather all the information required to switch, so we can bring a motion and vote on it at our next meeting.  Credit Card processing: We also would like to still pursue the fees associated with changing to an option that has the option for our members to pre-register and pay for the luncheons online. As well as our fall conference, and CGFM classes. Luncheon Meetings  September 21st luncheon menu: Chicken and veggie alfredo, salad, garlic bread, double chocolate brownies. Coffee, water and ice tea included. If anyone requires a special meal, we need to know by 4:00pm on September 19th.  Head Counts: Do we have any suggestions on the number we should provide. Need to notify them Monday the week of.

Meetings Chair Update:  Lynne Bajema has offered to speak at one of our luncheons and do an online tour of the Partnership Tools available. She is on the Intergovernmental Partnership board.

Fall Conference  November 15th, 2016  Location suggestions were: Metro Tech, Historical Society, Will Rogers Theatre, OU Research Park, UCO Boathouse  Topics & speaker suggestions: Eide Bailey, Aldridge, Chris Pembrook, Crawford & Sons. Deanna was going to get some speaker information for a few listed above.  There was strong interest for 2 hours of ethics to be part of the conference line up.  Counts for prior years were: 2015: 63 2016: 55  Need volunteers to help coordinate details – Locations and speakers  Flyer volunteer? We could use template from last year, and modify?

December Party  Need ideas and volunteers to organize the December membership party.  Through email, the officers will present and discuss possibilities and dates.

Chair Positions Vacant  We still have vacant chair positions. Has anyone had any success in recruiting volunteers?

Community Service Update  Christmas Connections: Days available are: December 13th – 17th  Memorial Marathon: Volunteer opportunities consist of shift work between Thursday and Saturday, setting up.  OETA: Melissa will be contacting them to get the contact information updated. There was interest in trying to fill all 24 slots and having more of a presence if we have the interest.

Other topics of discussion:  T-Shirts: Custom AGA t-shirts was discussed. People could wear them to our community service events to advertise AGA.
