3rd Annual Veteran’s Day Classic

BAE Systems at Holston Army Ammunition Plant Saturday, November 15, 2008 Half Marathon begins at 10:30 am 5K Run & Walk begins at 11 am Registration will start at 8:00 am and closes 30 minutes before race BAE Systems/Holston Army Ammunition Plant presents the BAE Systems Veterans Day Classic. Shirts will be awarded to all pre- registered participants and while supplies last on race day. It is a beautiful course with no traffic through the wooded grounds that you will share with deer, turkey, ground hogs, rabbits, geese and other aspects of wildlife. ALL EVENTS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Limitations: bicycles, skateboards, and roller blades, are strictly prohibited on the course. Baby joggers and strollers allowed on the walking course only. There will be a 3 hour time limit on the course. Only registered participants and volunteers will be allowed on the course except in the start/finish area due to security regulations. Drinks and snacks will be provided for participants and spectators. Plan to bring either a blanket or lawn chair. SORRY NO PETS ARE ALLOWED ON SITE.

Directions: Address (4509 West Stone Drive, Kingsport TN 37660) From I-26, take Exit 1 (West Stone Drive). Go West on Stone Drive Hwy 11W for approximately 2 miles. Entrance to Holston Army Ammunition Plant is to the left at the traffic light across from Walgreens and Citizens Bank. IN CONSIDERATION FOR ACCEPTING MY ENTRY IN THIS RACE, I FOR MYSELF, MY HEIRS, EXECUTORS AND ADMINISTRATORS, WAIVE AND RELEASE FOREVER ANY AND ALL RIGHTS AND CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES I MAY HAVE AGAINST THE ORGANIZERS AND SPONSORS OF THIS EVENT. BAE Systems/HSAAP is a federal Army facility. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel this run/walk in the event installation security requirements should suddenly increase due to unforeseen events at which time running/walking on the installation would compromise our required security level. However, we will make every effort to notify runners as far in advance as possible should additional security requirements result in the cancellation of this event, you will receive a refund for the entry fee.
