MCPS HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT: (flyers were sent via backpack express last Friday). Montgomery County Public Schools is partnering with the Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation, Inc to help raise money for students and families affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The campaign titled, “Hurricane Relief Fund,” officially kicked off on Sept. 7 and will end on Oct. 7. The district’s goal is to raise at least $1 per student to support school districts in Texas and Florida, according to a news release. “We must support all children and help each other in times of crisis,” Superintendent Jack Smith, said in a statement. “MCPS is committed to supporting the victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma.” Those interested in supporting the campaign can submit donations to local schools or by clicking here. All donations collected by the Foundation will go to corresponding educational foundations in Texas and Florida. If our school raises $2,000 all of our Greenwood gators will have the opportunity to pick their own seats at lunch for one day!

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCESS: Please keep in mind that the school day starts at 8:50 AM.
