Around a half of the world's motorcycles are made in China and the country has about 2,000 companies making everything from complete engines to individual components. Some people will use the manual to tackle the work themselves – for many simpler jobs, DIY may be quicker than arranging an appointment to get the motorcycle into a dealer and making the trips to leave it and pick it up.
