Senior Water Resources Engineer WorleyParsons Infrastructure & Environment Edmonton, AB

You will be part of a dynamic team that integrates surface water engineering, hydrogeology, aquatic and marine sciences, and water and waste water treatment engineering to deliver sustainable solutions.

The Senior Water Resources Engineer opening is a full-time position with WorleyParsons Canada’s Infrastructure & Environment Operation in Edmonton.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Technical input and review of work related to projects such as;  Surface water hydrology and watershed management studies.  Planning, design and modelling of storm water management plans including wetlands.  Oil sands mine reclamation/closure drainage design and planning.  Hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modelling.  Hydraulic design (outfalls, intakes, etc.)  River engineering.  Erosion and sedimentation control.  Wind and wave analysis/shore protection.  Urban and industrial drainage and other related projects.  Mentor Junior, Intermediate and Senior team members.  Travel as required for various field programs. Qualifications

D:\Docs\2018-04-09\08bcc95147d80f9147a9697c864214e2.docx  B.Sc. or graduate degree in water resource engineering from an accredited institution.  20+ years of experience in design, construction, and project management of water resources projects including experience in surface water management, conveyance systems design, hydrology, hydraulic structures, watershed management, river engineering, fluvial geomorphology, and reclamation.  Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).  Local consulting experience in an industrial and mining environment considered an asset, especially experience in oil sands mining and reclamation.  Knowledge of various modeling tools such as spatial tools (GIS), SWMM variants, and groundwater-surface water interaction would be considered an asset.  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to share knowledge and mentor team.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to excel in a team environment.
