Agenda Item Action(s) Taken 1. Celebrations A Thompson called the meeting to order. Mrs. SBritt shared a story about a former student who said that she inspired him to read. Mrs. SCollins shared a story about a former teacher of her children who complimented her on raising her sons with such good manners and work ethic. Reading 3D testing is complete! Yea! Access Testing has started and seems to be going well. Reading Counts is picking up! 2 SWOT form/CWT data updates We updated and discussed the SWOT form and CWT data. If you would like to see a copy, see any member of the SIT team. On CWT data, we discussed trying to increase cooperative learning strategies. In student action section, we discussed seeing more writing opportunities.

3. Reading 3D data/Literacy Goal The literacy goal team looked at growth for each grade level. As a school, we grew from 52% Team to 66%. K grew from 36% to 60%. 1st grew from 56% to 72%. 2nd grew from 63% to 77%. 3rd grew from 61% to 63%. 4th grew from 25% to 43%. These are based on Amplify not NC standards. The committee focused on our data for the Hispanic subgroup. We need to develop more ELL strategies to help with reading. 4. Update on surveys for AThompson presented a new parent survey. We will send it home and put it on the website. stakeholders We thought about offering an incentive to classrooms who bring in the most surveys. ETew made a motion to accept the parent survey. JTroskey seconded the motion.

We have only had 8 responses to the teacher survey. Ms. Dawkins will resend the link and see if we can get more before going over the data.

Ms. Dawkins shared the results of the all student surveys. We will make a poster of strengths and weaknesses to be shared with everyone. 5. Leadership/Trust Box No comments in the box at this time. 6. Guidance Counselor Appreciation Please have each class do individual or class cards for Ms. White by Friday. Week (Feb. 2-6) The school will buy Mrs. White lunch on Friday.

7. Bus Driver Appreciation Week We love our bus drivers! Yea! Beverly, Beth, Cindy, and Austin (Feb. 9-13) Each grade level will provide a special treat for you! Kindergarten—Monday, 1st grade—Tuesday, 4th and 5th grade—Wednesday 2nd and 3rd grade—Thursday 8. Read Across America The week of March 2nd- Be looking for the flyer from Mrs. Dunn that details what will be happening each day. ETew motioned to accept these activities. JTroskey seconded.

JTroskey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. DHurley seconded.
