GLEN LAKE PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION General Membership Meeting JUNE 9, 2014
Board Members Present: Paul Derby, Ron Kuhl, Linda Clark, Susan Herlihy, Lorrie Graves, Ken Minges, Terry Munk, Margaret Wallace, Bill Miller, and Bud Taylor.
Meeting opened at 7:04 by president, Paul Derby.
Paul wishes to thank Christine for hosting this meeting and for the appetizers supplied.

Secretary’s Report; Susan Herlihy submitted minutes from June 9, 2014 meeting.. Minutes approved by membership.
Treasurer’s report; Lorrie Graves submitted report of balances as of June 9, 2014. Report approved by membership. Lorrie Graves and her husband, Dave, will be leaving the Association after many years of service to Glen Lake. They will be greatly missed. Carol Snyder will become interim treasury and Lorrie will train her.
Membership report; Linda Clark reported that 236 residents have joined so far this year with dues of $3730 and Lake maintenance funds of $5065. These are good results.
Standing Committees:
Dam Committee; The steel is still out at the Dam and water levels are high. Steel will stay out so Lake Treatment can be done. Terry questioned about the status of the new mechanism on the Dam. No progress at this time.
Environmental Committee: Ken Minges there are no updates.
Nominating committee: SEE NEWSLETTER FOR CURRENT SLATE OF OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS
WEB SITE; Terry Munk ; Web Site is up to date on current information. No new updates. SUNSHINE; Ellen Kuhl, A request was made to send a Get Well card to Don Milne.
OLD BUSINESS; none
BILL CLARK will send a draft letter to the Association that is to go to the owner of the small island about the erosion taking place there.
JOE HALL , owner of the property on Tee Hill and Moon Hill made a presentation on what he has done to the area along the stream behind his house, which seems to be owned by the GPLA. Bruce Frank of Queensbury Code Enforcement put a stop work order on the property. There is a question of the property line. Mr. Hall would like to do what he can to rectify the situation. He has stabilized the area with seed and a catch basin for stormwater run- off, He has to submit a proposal to the Town for a variance for work already done. When the site- plan is in place the GLPA will look at it and sign off if satisfied.
ROAD CLEAN UP; Thanks to all who helped with the road clean up.
Bill also announced that he and his daughter Kathy Gowen will no longer be doing the Field Day Event. Many thanks to both of them for doing a great job these passed years.
CONSTITUTIONAL LANGUAGE CHANGES;
Language changes for the staggered election of new officers and board members - the President and Membership Secretary one year and Recording Secretary, Vice President, and Treasurer the following year so there will always be officers who will have experience on the Board. There is also a change of title for the Corresponding Secretary to Membership Secretary. The motion was made to accept both these changes by Pat Pietropaolo and seconded by Ellen Kuhl. Motion passed by the membership.
Motion to adjourn at 8:15 by Terry Munk and seconded by Ken Minges. Approved by membership.
Next meeting at the Glenmoore at 6:00 on July 7. Bring a dish to pass. Cost $5.00 per person.s
