Part 1: 1. Download the student data disk from internet (1) open Netscape (2) type the location www.prenhall.com/grauer (3) click Exploring Office 2000 (4) click Student Resources (5) click Student Data Disks (6) click Exploring Microsoft Word 200 (164 kb) (7) Download word2000.exe file and save on the C drive 2. Unzip your downloaded file and copy to floppy. (1) Open my computer (2) click drive C (3) double click word2000 icon (4) unzip to Folder: c:\Exploring Word (5)by opening Using windows explorer copy the Exploring Word folder to your floppy on A: drive ( Very important!) 3. Open Microsoft Word 4. Retrieve the Chapter 1 Practice 1 document from the Exploring Word folder on the C drive if it is there or on your floppy 5. Make the following changes: (1) replace the text Your Name with your session number and name. (2) replace the date with the current date. (3) save the document using SAVEAS in mychapter1practice1 on A drive 6. Print out the document (similar to Figure 1.15 on WD 44).

4. In Example 1, replace CIS 120 by your section number, replace Maryann Barber by your own name, replace date by current date.

5. Take a preview and print out your document.
