Dear Kimberly Baseball Fans

Dear Kimberly Baseball Fans,

It’s that time of year again; the gloves are popping and the sweet sound of bat- on-ball is filling the spring air. Bulldog baseball is preparing to take the field for another successful season in 2016. Through several district championships and state tournaments in the past few years, we have been building a great tradition of winning baseball at Kimberly High and this year will be no different! We have multiple returning lettermen from last year’s team and are poised to make another deep run into the postseason.

This year’s varsity team will feature a deep junior class with playing experience and a very strong nucleus of talent. We will be deep on the infield with starters returning at 4 positions. Our JV team will also be strong this season as we have nine exciting freshmen joining an already talented sophomore class. Coach Jimmie Linn will be in his 2nd year leading the JV squad.

Although baseball around the state functions much like other sports, it is unknown to many that baseball is not an “Idaho high school activities association” sponsored sport. Basically, all that means is that we have limited funding and there is no sponsored state tournament. As you can imagine, this presents difficulties when trying to pay for equipment, field improvements, and apparel for a successful program.

With all that said, we are sending you this letter as a valued fan and supporter of Kimberly high school baseball. Not only would we like to formally invite you to come out and cheer us to a state title but we are also asking you to help us get there financially. If you would like to donate, please make your checks out to “Kimberly High School Baseball” and return it to us in the pre- addressed envelope we have included.

On behalf of the Kimberly Bulldogs baseball team, I would like to say thank you for any and all support. The team understands that without your support, a successful season would be impossible. If you have questions regarding donations or any of our other fundraising activities, please feel free to contact me or check out our new team webpage now included on the Kimberly school district website. (http://www.kimberly.edu/athletics/baseball-home) Look for the baseball tab and find all the same information as our old website. Thank you again and we all look forward to seeing you at the field. Go Bulldogs!
