9:00 am-10:30 am Testing the Network from the Headend to the back of the TV Speakers- Dave Dolnick- JDSU

Where in the Headend do we test for video services? I.e. Fiber interconnects Off-Air providers and VOD Servers, Mux’s, Edge QAM modulators. Multiple Channel Plans.

Where do we test and what test are performed on the HFC plant I.e. Sweeping the network, Balance and Reverse Alignment.

What tests do we perform in the subscriber’s home and how do we find and fix problems. I.e. Certifying the Home and Drop, Find and fixing issues in the home

MPEG2 / MPEG4 /Transcoding-This session will explain the differences and advantages of these technologies. What do I have or need and what do you need to prepare your system to implement or upgrade?

3:00 pm-5:00 pm IPTV vs. QAM Speaker Patricio Latini –Arris

This session will explain the technologies of QAM verses IPTV and give insight as to the advantages and short comings of each. Is there more than 256 QUAM on the horizon? What can I expect of IPTV?
