Place: Teheran, Iran Organizers: ISPO International, ISPO-Iran, the Undersecretary General of Health, Treatment and Rehabilitation, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and the Iranian Orthopedic Association (IOA) About the event: The event was composed of 2 days of instructional course and a 1 day workshop given by two representatives of the ISPO International delegation. Two additional workshop days were held by the local organization.
The ISPO team was composed of:

The state of art methods on amputation surgery Phantom pain and pain management Physiotherapy and occupational therapy Prosthetic fundamentals Psychology on lower limb amputation Biomechanics Rehabilitation on society The first of its kind to be organized in the region, the course was well received by participants coming from various backgrounds: PO professionals (47.1%), Orthopaedic surgeons and general physician (GP) (36.1%), occupational therapist (6.4%), physiotherapy (3.2%) nurse (3.2%), first aid instructor, physical medicine, psychologist and architect (4%).
