JOSEPH GERALD 12 CAREW, PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA 13 CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION, FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE 14 PEOPLE OF THE PALMETTO STATE AND TO WISH HIM 15 WELL IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS. 16 17 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are grateful 18 for the outstanding service that Joseph Gerald Carew, D.C., has 19 given to his profession as President of the South Carolina 20 Chiropractic Association and to the people of the Palmetto State as 21 a distinguished doctor of chiropractic; and 22 23 Whereas, under Dr. Carew’s able leadership from 2011 to 2012, 24 the South Carolina Chiropractic Association has grown to a new 25 level of service and achievement; and 26 27 Whereas, Dr. Carew has also served as the legislative chair and 28 secretary treasurer of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association 29 and continues to serve on its board; and 30 31 Whereas, in preparation for his life’s work, Joseph Gerald Carew 32 graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, 33 Iowa, where he was valedictorian of the class of 1996 with a 34 gradepoint average of 4.0; and 35 36 Whereas, presently, Dr. Carew is the owner of six HealthSource 37 Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab Centers and was recently 38 named the HealthSource Franchisee of the Year. In addition, he 39 contributes many hours of volunteer service to his community; and 40 41 Whereas, married to Dr. Karen Carew, he and his wife have a 42 beautiful daughter, Grace, and reside at Lake Murray; and

[1594] 2 1 2 Whereas, the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina 3 appreciate Dr. Carew’s commitment to excellence and his faithful 4 service to the citizens of South Carolina, and they wish him 5 success as he continues to offer his patients the benefits and 6 blessings afforded by chiropractic care. Now, therefore, 7 8 Be it resolved by the Senate: 9 10 That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, 11 recognize and honor Dr. Joseph Gerald Carew, President of the 12 South Carolina Chiropractic Association, for his service to the 13 people of the Palmetto State and wish him well in all his future 14 endeavors. 15 16 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to 17 Dr. Joseph Gerald Carew. 18 XX 19
