I. Call to Order: 12:30 PM. II. Approval of Agenda Information / Action A. Vice President Pawelek moved to approve February 17th, 2012 agenda. Senator Micheli seconded. DISCUSSION: None. Motion passes unanimously. V. Approval of Minutes Information / Action A. Senator Villarreal moved to approve February 10th, 2012 minutes. Senator Blair seconded. DISCUSSION: None. Motion passes unanimously. VI. President’s Report Information/ Action President Porter reported on the following:  Foundation Dinner Dance meeting went well looks like everything is ready to go. The event is $32.00 charge to attend. SGA will have reimbursement item for anyone who attends from SGA. VII. Vice President’s Report Information Vice President Pawelek reported on the following:  Monday Feb 13th, 2012 packed the backpacks for 126 bags of food to donate. Tuesday the 14th had the walk the event did not go over well. Wednesday showed the Rum Dairies had about 30 people attend.  Friday Follies will be at 4:00 PM with Zumba and Soccer. VIII. Treasury Report Information/ Action None. IX. Student Advocate’s Report Information Advocate Mendez reported on the following:  Jeff Peters the recruiter from Pahrump has resigned from his position. Jeff will be missed from Pahrump and GBC. X. Center Reports Information A. Battle Mountain:  Valentine’s Day went well and they had good participation with the event. The winner was really excited to receive the prize. B. Ely:  We were not able to hold the walk due to bad weather. We had a drawing instead which had 14 winners and gave away free water for Love Your Body week. C. Pahrump:  The Center was empty this semester for Love Your Body week but had a drawing. Winner received $10.00 gift certificate to Starbucks. D. Winnemucca:  Love Your Body week did not go over well had a cancellation with the yoga instructor. There was very little participation from the students, did have a successful candy jar guessing game. XI. Committee Reports Information/ Action A. Facilities: Feb 10th 2012, $4.30 collected from the pool table. B. Elko Senator Report: Senator Alger reported that Love Your Body week activities went over really well and is looking forward to the next event. XII. Unfinished Business Information/ Action None. XIII. New Business Information/ Action A. Battle Mountain Galileo Week Information/ Action Senator Blair moved to approve Senator Powell requests a cap of $50.00 to purchase food and supplies for Galileo Week to be held on the Battle Mountain Center the week of February 26th – March 2nd, 2012. Senator Duran seconded. DISCUSSION: Senator Powell said that they will be celebrating Galileo by conducting a crossword puzzle. Information will be displayed on cardboard telescopes. Motion passes unanimously. B. SGA Dinner Dance Display Information/ Action Senator Micheli moved to approve Vice President Pawelek requests a cap of $75.00 to purchase supplies for the SGA Display at the GBC Foundation Dinner Dance on February 25, 2012. Senator Blair seconded. DISCUSSION: Vice President Pawelek said that they will be using media services to create the display for the dance. Motion passes unanimously. XIV. Public Comment Information  Senator Hadfield had a question about the Argentum and how to submit artwork. Senator Duran said the off sites with artwork should take a picture of the art and sent an email to Argentum.  Vice President Pawelek said that SGA senators from all the centers should take pictures and email to President Porter. They will add them to the board in Elko.
