Monthly activities for Toboggan Supervisor: March 2013
July: Contact National Office to obtain toboggan instructor list. Separate Toboggan Instructor list and send to each region Toboggan Supervisor for update. Include instructions on how to fill out as new Region Supervisors are annually appointed. Make sure that these lists are updated and submitted to National and you by 11-1 Consult your NSP member page to review your special links to programs. Develop programs for December STW’s. You are part of the Division Skills Team that puts on the Division wide events. Coordinate with the Skills Supervisor.
August: Contact all new Region Supervisors and help them understand responsibilities Remind all Region Toboggan Supervisors that the Board approved their NSP-C membership
September: Attend Fall Division meeting and report to the Division Board as required. Order winner’s name for Toboggan Plaque & cascade shirt for winner Submit article to RPN.
October: Begin arranging for toboggan instructors for the December Division STW’s Arrange for additional toboggans to be available at each STW
November: First STW could easily be at the end of this month. Make sure all STW needs filled. Present Outstanding TES IOR award at appropriate STW. Send reminder to all Region Supervisors to get an annual activities plan from each IT.
December: Finish balance of the Division STW’s. Send thank you notes to helpers and ski area’s. First TES courses begin to show on course registration list. Stay on top of these. Each ski area should conduct a toboggan refresher each year. Monitor these as filed.
January: Begin putting together the budget for next season. Include all anticipated costs. Monitor TES programs and follow up with delinquent filings. Submit article to RPN
February: Document the yearend report for the Spring Board Meeting. Make sure to put together a listing of the total TES programs and participants. Include the member that contributed the most to the Toboggan program over the past season. Provide supporting information. Monitor TES programs and follow up with delinquent filings.
March: Submit the yearend report to the Division Administrative Assistant for inclusion in BOD packet. Monitor TES programs and follow up with delinquent filings.
April: Monitor who was elected in each Region as the Director. There will likely be a new Toboggan Supervisor appointed for that Region. Keep in contact with the new Region Director for his appointee. As soon as you determine the new Supervisor make sure that you electronically introduce to the balance of the Division Toboggan Staff. Monitor TES programs and follow up with delinquent filings.
May: All Central Division ski areas are closed. Contact each Region Supervisor and remind them to obtain a listing of activities that each Toboggan IT fulfilled. Submit this list to the Division Supervisor and use as guide to determine if re-appointment is appropriate.

June: The actual ski year ends June 30. Make sure that all outstanding expense vouchers are submitted. Typically 30 day window is allowed without special approval from D.D. Make sure that all TES programs are closed out properly by the end of this month.
