Well-known and Galloway enthusiasts G & C Neve & Son, Haining House Farm, Lambley toped the pre sale show with a very stylish heifer Unity of Haining House. This 2 year old heifer, a daughter of Keith of Dodgsonstown and out of Winston of Redding mother caught the eye of Mr Andrew Hogg, Milnholm as he bought her for 1100gns

Leading the bull classes at 1200gns was the male champion exhibited by Peter Jackson, Roan Farm, Newcastleton. Roan Border Callum, an April 2008 born son of Councillor of Nether Rusko and bred from Roan Border Rose 1st was sold to D Moffat & Son, Bodesbeck, Moffat

Topping the sale at 1450gns was a heifer with a Bluegrey heifer calf at foot bred and exhibited by W & M McMorran & Sons, Miefield, Twynholm, Castle Douglas. Scottish Queen 152nd of Mielfield, a daughter of Youth of High Creoch went home with R H & J R Little, Park Nook Farm, Carlisle The McMorran Family had a consignment of 6 heifers forward which were all keenly bid for and all topping four figures. Miefield’s next best price was for Scottish Queen 144th of Miefield, another Youth of High Creoch daughter, she was purchased by J & M Walker, Raeburnfoot, Langholm for 1350gns
