Summary:
My career to date has encompassed product development for AC-DC and DC-DC switching and linear power supplies, high current DC power distribution systems up to 2000 amps for use in large main-frame computer systems such as the Digital Equipment VAX 8600 and a prototype super computer.
Further experience includes facility AC power distribution and grounding, EMI/RFI shielding for system level electromagnetic compatibility. I am well versed in implementing lightning protection for remote Amateur Radio repeater (2 way radio) installations, for tower, associated block house equipment and service entrance connections.
I have Installed and maintained a VHF repeater system for Amateur Radio communications. I am familiar with and can use Microsoft Office Applications software, Ionospheric propagation prediction software and antenna design software (NEC). Test equipment I have good familiarity with includes, digital and analog oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, antenna/feed line analyzers (Time Delay Reflectometer) as well as other equipment for RF and power system analysis.
Currently, I am employed in the automotive industry as a Senior Electronics Technician working with electromagnetic compatibility issues and product validation for automotive safety systems.
