Ohio 4-H Project Central
Just one more thing to add to our fair to-do list.
We know you are up to your ears in Fair Everything but, yes, we still would love your help directing 4H members to Ohio 4-H Project Central.
Project Central allows 4H’ers to search, learn about, and rate projects—and now is the season for rating! While projects are fresh on their minds, please encourage your 4H members and volunteers to visitprojectcentral.ohio4h.org to share their experiences, good and bad. Just 40% of projects have been rated so far. Can we reach 80%? 100%? The higher we go, the more future 4-H’ers get to learn from their peers’ experiences!
One great way to tell people about Project Central is to hand out free informational bookmarks. A downloadable PDF is available here. You also can order them for free from eStore, guaranteed to ship to you in 10 days or less.
Do you prefer to use social media? Here are some social post examples you can share:
Tell us what you thought about your project using Ohio 4-H Project Central (http://projectcentral.ohio4h.org/)
Did you have a great time working on your project this year? Maybe not so much? Let other 4-H’ers learn from your experience by rating your project on http://projectcentral.ohio4h.org/
You’ve worked so hard on your projects! Was it worth all the effort? Let us know using http://projectcentral.ohio4h.org/
Thank you so much for your willingness to help. Let us know if you have other ideas for spreading the word about Project Central by contacting Erica Clark-Covert at [email protected] or (614) 688-1934.
4-H Southern Region Teen Leadership Conference 2014 The 10th annual Southern Region 4-H Teen Leadership Conference is scheduled for September 25 – 28, 2014 in Crossville, TN (between Nashville and Knoxville just off I-40). This conference is designed for teens and adults and is focused on developing leadership, citizenship and other life skills. While the conference is designed for the southern region, we would like to extend the invitation to your state. Perhaps you have a state officer team that you would like to bring for leadership development or another teen group which might benefit. A registration packet for your review is available online at http://4h.tennessee.edu/4hsrtlc/contactsonly.html

TAG: Think, Act, Grow
Dr. Lisa Lauxman, Division Director of Youth and 4-H at USDA-NIFA, is challenging you to "TAG" - Think, Act, Grow, 4-H is "IT". This upcoming national campaign is a part of the stakeholder engagement strategy that serves as a call to action for the nation's 42 million adolescents, in their health and healthy development. The TAG initiative will raise awareness about adolescent health -- but 4-H has a head start of over 100 years! Watch for more info as the national roll out will be in November 2014.
