The Grand Medieval Joust Sat 5Th & Sun 6Th August

The Grand Medieval Joust Sat 5th & Sun 6th August

Today, we recreate the 15th Century, a day of sport and chivalry. Four of Europe's finest Jousters - from England, Germany and Wales, will break wooden lances on each other in an exciting spectacle of a medieval tournament. Who will you cheer for?

Wearing superb recreations of late Medieval Armour they will take to the Lists and battle it out in a bone crunching display of skill and bravery. The first competition of the day will be a "Skill at Arms" contest at 12noon each day. In this display the Knights and others of their household exercise their horses and first show their prowess with a variety of weapons.

At 2pm you can watch the Knights being helped into their armour by their Squires, before they take to the Jousting Arena or "Lists" at 3pm. Then be prepared to cheer loudly for the Jouster of your choice at the Lincoln Castle Joust!"
