Experience

Experience of using a payroll system

Experience of reconciling payroll to a nominal ledger Experience of ensuring relevant payments are made as required ensuring compliance with legislation including Statutory Sick Pay, Occupational Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity, Adoption, Paternity and Occupational Maternity Pay. Experience of making returns to HMRC Experience of maintaining accurate computerised and manual personal records relating to employees ensuring confidentiality and compliance with Data protection legislation. Experience of HR Administration, including the whole recruitment process from advertising to induction.

Skills

Knowledge of HM Revenue and Customs rules for PAYE

Ability to work efficiently and manage several competing demands without losing focus.

Ability to undertake work with great emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to politely challenge others in a structured way, including management of all levels.

Ability to plan and prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines, independently and as part of a team.

Ability to undertake highly confidential work without breaching the rules and procedures on confidentiality and data protection.

Ability to produce written work in a presentable format, easy to follow, and in line with organisational templates, where provided.

Knowledge of Contract of Employment variation administration

Knowledge of processing organisation leavers

Knowledge of administration & report analysis production for all employee attendance including but not limited to sickness, annual leave, parental rights leave and compassionate leave.

Knowledge of organising organisational training.

Advanced Excel skills and excellent skill level for other Microsoft Office applications.
