When God Gives Up

"When God Gives Up!" Romans 1:18-32 INTRO. Our God is the true essence of Love. For love, He sent His only Son to die for us even though we did not deserve that love. Before God sent His Son who died on the Cross, we stood condemned before Him. But by accepting that love displayed on Calvary, we are reconciled to God. But our God is also a God of Wrath. It tells us in our text in v18, that "The wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness." This lost world stands condemned before God. The only hope is found in Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6-"I am the way, the truth, and the Life, no man cometh to the Father but by Me." God wants all men to repent, but in His foreknowledge He knows some will not repent. Thus if one continues in his sins he will spend an eternity separated from God. But there is still opportunity for one to be saved, if he will only repent and trust in God. We have a longsuffering and forgiving God. But if you will not repent, God will give you up to your sins. God has given the most precious thing He has: That is His Son's life for your sins, will you give your heart to Him? GOD GIVES UP WHEN: (1) Men Abandon Him For Their Own Lusts Text: Rom. 1:24 James 1:13-15 (2) Men Abandon Him For Their Own Affections Text: Rom. 1:26,27 1 John 2:15-17 (3) Men Abandon Him For Their Own Depraved Lifestyle Text: Rom. 1:28 John 5:37-40 Closing: God has laid a choice before all men: Either repent and be saved or continue in sin and be damned! What will your choice be? God desires all men to come to Him and be saved, but if you won't all He has left to do is give you up to your sins!! Christian, we have a job before us. We must tell and show this world that choosing Jesus is the only possible choice! Do you know someone who needs Him now?
