Dear Parent/Guardian,

Edinburgh Diving Club is taking a team of all ages to the Armada Cup in Plymouth and the coaches have nominated your child to participate. The timetable of events is not yet available, but I will forward a copy to you when I receive it.

We intend to travel down to Plymouth on Friday 10th February, probably by train. We will travel back either late on the Tuesday or early on the Wednesday, again probably by train.

Divers age 9 and over are expected to travel and stay with team. Any exceptions must be agreed with the coaches/CPO – in which case independent arrangements must be made by parents/guardians.

Please reply to this email (to [email protected]) no later than Sunday 8th January 2017, indicating whether your diver will be taking part. Please include the diver’s name in your response. The final cost will vary depending on numbers and accommodation/travel costs. We can usually get a better deal on accommodation + travel if we book early, so the sooner you can tell me whether your diver is able to take part or not, the better.

A deposit for each diver travelling with the team must be paid by Sunday 15th January 2017. We will endeavour to keep the price to @£250-£280 per diver (this will include a subsidy from Club funds).

Please put your child's name and ‘ARM’ in the payment reference. You may have to sensibly abbreviate this information. Payments are made on a non–refundable basis as we have to book ahead and pay in advance (any exceptional requests for refunds must be made to the Management Committee).

Unfortunately any responses or payments received after Sunday 8th January 2017 will mean that your child will be unable to participate in the trip.

Please also note that this trip will not go ahead unless sufficient chaperones can be found (minimum 3 chaperones required, if all invited divers attend).

On these sorts of chaperoned trips, parents/guardians are discouraged from staying in same hotel as the team (subject to local availability) and must not join the team for travel/meals.
