Unannounced tests or homework may be administered, ranging from 10-100 points each. The purpose of unannounced test and homework is to encourage preparedness as well as being instructional. 4 exams at 100 points each. Laboratory exercises will also be conducted by the student. Each assignment will be worth 30 points. There are no drop grades, make ups, or extra credit in the course. A scientific research paper will also be part of the student's grade. The project will consist of research conducted by the student on a particular scientific topic and presented in a 5 page single spaced paper in AMA format at the end of the semester worth 10% of the student's grade.

Grading Scale: 90-100 = A 80-89 = B 70-79 = C 60-69 = D 00-59 = F

Exams 1-3 and all quizzes = 40% of grade Final Exam = 30% of grade Lab = 20% of grade Research Paper = 10% of grade Make-Up Policy: It is the students responsibility to make-up missed homework or assignments. All assignments, exams and quizzes are due by the date marked. Only college approved excuses will be accepted for make up. Make ups will be at instructor's discretion.
