1 [5200] 1 1 Kappa Educational Sorority, and the South Carolina Association of 2 School Administrators; and 3 4 Whereas, a former Vice President of the Kershaw County 5 Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Sheheen is also the former President 6 of the Camden Junior Welfare League and a founding Board 7 Member of the Camden-Kershaw County Child Care Center, as 8 well as an educational consultant for the State Department of 9 Education; and 10 11 Whereas, she is married to Fred R. Sheheen and together they have 12 two daughters, Maria Spring and Margaret Bishop; a son, Vincent 13 Sheheen; and seven grandchildren, William and Robert Spring; 14 Joseph, Austin, and Anthony Sheheen; and David and Olivia 15 Bishop; and 16 17 Whereas, Mrs. Sheheen is beloved by the parents, children, and 18 staff of Blaney Elementary School and, although her presence as 19 Principal will be sorely missed upon her retirement, she will never 20 be far from their hearts. Now, therefore, 21 22 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate 23 concurring: 24 25 That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South 26 Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and honor Rose Serio 27 Sheheen on her retirement as Principal of Blaney Elementary 28 School in Elgin on June 30, 2004, and extend best wishes to her in 29 all her future endeavors. 30 31 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 32 Rose Serio Sheheen. 33 ----XX---- 34
