ANDREW DAINTY

SUMMARY PROFILE Andrew is Managing Director of AGDR. A Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years of urban regeneration experience his work has included some of the largest and most complex projects in the UK. Prior to forming AGDR in 2001, Andrew was a Development Director at AMEC. In the mid 1990’s Andrew set up a regeneration department in Manchester for Jones Lang Lasalle. Prior to that he had experience working in the public sector for both Black Country and Central Manchester Development Corporations. In the 1980’s Andrew began his work in regeneration consultancy with niche surveying practice Philips Brown working on mixed-use waterside schemes for developer Shearwater.

Recent projects include masterplanning and then creating the PPP delivery vehicle for Chesterfield Waterside, a £350m mixed-use project. Andrew also advised Sheffield City Council for five years on its New Retail Quarter Project (Sevenstones) one of the largest retail projects in the UK. Andrew has also enjoyed advising on delivery challenges and protecting design aspirations on a number of smaller town centre and regeneration schemes throughout northern England and Wales.
