7:30am – Early check-in at Brenau East Campus for senior talent-based scholarship auditions (Must pre-register for audition) 8:00-9:30am – Senior talent-based scholarship auditions. Be prepared for ballet, modern and jazz. 8:45-9:30am – Arrival and Check-in at Brenau East Campus 9:40-10:00am – Welcome Session with Brenau Dance Faculty for Parents, Studio & Program Directors, and visiting students; Whalen Auditorium, Brenau East Campus 10:00am – Admission and Financial Aid Session – Parents, Studio & Program Directors remain in Whalen Auditorium; students exit to appropriate studio for class *11:00am – Campus tour for parents/directors – Meet on the front porch of Wheeler House on main campus *12:00pm – Campus tour for parents/directors – Meet on the front porch of Wheeler House on main campus *During this time, parents/directors may choose to tour the Brenau University main campus with a Brenau “Golden Star” tour guide. We invite you to visit our Academic Facilities, Fitness Center/Main Campus Dance Facilities, Trustee Library, Student Center, Theaters, Dorm Rooms, and the Brenau Bookstore.
TIME CLASS INSTRUCTOR LOCATION 10:00am-11:30pm BALLET Nadia Mara Brenau East (203) High Intermediate/Advanced (Guest Artist – Atlanta Ballet Principal) Commercial Jazz Derrick Smith Brenau East (202) OR Beginner/ Intermediate (Guest Artist – Brenau Alumnus and Professional Dancer) 11:35pm- BALLET PARTNERING John Streit Brenau East (202) 12:55pm Advanced with Pointe Work (Affiliate Professor of Dance, Brenau University) (Students must have at least 4 years experience en pointe; also, to dance in this class, students must take the Intermediate/ Advanced Ballet class at 10:30 a.m.) OR BALLET Nadia Mara Brenau East (203) 11:35pm-1:05pm Beginner/Intermediate (Guest Artist – Atlanta Ballet Principal) 1:15pm-2:15pm Lunch for Registered Hopkins Dining Hall, Students Gainesville Historic Campus ~Schedule Continues on Back~ Break Out Groups Led by (Participants must provide own Brenau Dance Majors transportation to main campus) General Q&A Registered students’ lunches are pre-paid through event deposit; families, studio directors, and dance teachers may purchase lunch for $10 per person.
