Tournament 2007 Results

Geoffrey Newell of Saanich, with three gold and one silver, helped Victoria Renshikan Karate capture 66 medals at the 11th annual Victoria International Karate Tournament last weekend.

Adding to the total for the Saanich Commonwealth Place dojo was Jean Newell who took two gold, one silver and one bronze.

About 200 competitors from B.C. and Washngton state took part in the tournament at Central Middle School. It was sanctioned by Karate BC, the sport governing body for karate in B.C. and the Wado Karate Association of Canada.
