Career Options: Agriculture
The percentage of people working on the land has decreased in Ireland over the last two decades. However, there are still plenty of very interesting careers for people to pursue in this sector. Agriculture-related jobs include: Farmer, Forestry Worker, Commercial Gardener, Horse Breeder, Food Technologist, Rural Community Resource Worker, and Agricultural Science Teacher.
Further Education Individuals may choose from a range of courses, which offer participants FETAC 2 qualifications. These courses are run on both a full-time and part- time basis. Teagasc runs many agriculture-related FETAC certified courses. Some FETAC 2 courses include:
Agriculture Horticulture Organic Farming Horse Breeding Horsemanship Dairy Herd Management Applied Science – Animal Care
