PROGRAM DESCRIPTION This workshop is intended for professional counselors who supervise practicum students, interns and/or LLPCs, and who have had previous training in areas such as supervisor roles and functions, models/theories of supervision, and ethical and legal issues in supervision.

Our workshop will include:

1. Opportunities to practice supervision methods and techniques through role plays and case presentations. ***Participants are encouraged to bring supervision cases to share/discuss*** 2. Ethical issues in supervision 3. Updates on Michigan laws pertaining to supervision 4. Building a supervision practice 5. Six NBCC credits issued at no extra charge

THE PRESENTERS Irene Mass Ametrano and Diane L. Parfitt are members of the counseling faculty at Eastern Michigan University. Both have extensive experience supervising practicum and internship students as well as limited licensed professional counselors. Dr. Ametrano's clinical experience includes work in college and community mental health settings, while Dr. Parfitt has worked in private practice and as a professional school counselor. Both are licensed professional counselors in Michigan and hold the Approved Clinical Supervisor credential. Dr. Parfitt is also a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio.
