COUNSELING SERVICES Counseling, Therapists, Psychiatrist, and Psychology Services are typically categorized as “Behavioral Health” in regards to insurance plans. For non-emergency “Behavioral Health” assistance, please contact your insurance company for the name of in network and/or local services. This information is typically found on the back of your insurance card. If not found on the insurance card you will need to contact the customer service department of your insurance company for instructions. Due to the coverage/services provided by your insurance plan we are not able to provide referrals for Counseling Services. The information below is merely suggestions based on our local area. Adult Care- Treatment available at Evans Medical Group for uncomplicated behavioral healthcare such as depression and anxiety. Pediatric Care- Treatment is not available at Evans Medical Group for pediatrics (under age 18) for behavioral healthcare such as anxiety and depression. When selecting someone for treatment keep in mind that Psychologists cannot prescribe medicines, but typically spend an hour with you each visit providing counseling.
