CALL TO ORDER

Mr. Good called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. and welcomed Mr. Stokes, the Board’s new public member.

A motion was made by Mr. Strouse, seconded by Mr. Sharp to approve the March 7, 2007 meeting minutes as presented. The motion was unanimously carried.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Strategic Plan

Discussion tabled until the May meeting.

Schedule Disciplinary Hearings

The disciplinary hearing for Complaint 01-09-06, R. Joseph Johnson, has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. and the disciplinary hearing for Complaint 01-11-06, Patrick Hennemuth, has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 9:30 a.m.

Compliance to Continuing Education – Audit

This agenda item has been tabled until the May meeting.

Signing of Decisions and Orders for Show Cause Hearings

The Board signed the Decisions and Orders from the March Show Cause Hearings for Benjamin Betts, John Derr, Arthur Granger, Jr., Carlton Wilson, Mark Wolanski, Charles Schwaninger, and Wayne Poplanski.

Review of Reciprocity Application

A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Collins to approve the reciprocity application of Patrick Key. The motion was unanimously carried.

Propose to Deny Hearing

Mr. Good called the hearing to order at 9:15 a.m. and Board members were introduced.

Mr. Spizzirri stated that the Board had proposed to deny the application of Eric Messick since he only provided 30 months of experience and was required to submit 36 months.

Mr. Messick was sworn in and submitted to the Board a verification of employment form verifying an additional two years of experience.

A motion was made by Mr. Collins, seconded by Mr. Marks to enter into deliberations. The motion was unanimously carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Strouse to close deliberations. The motion was unanimously carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Sharp to approve Mr. Messick’s limited exam application. The motion was unanimously carried. Delaware Board of Electrical Examiners Minutes – April 4, 2007 Page 3

NEW BUSINESS

Review of Reciprocity Applications

A motion was made by Mr. Collins, seconded by Mr. Strouse to approve the applications of Steve Norwood, Michael Reeves and Arthur Nelson. The motion was unanimously carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Strouse, seconded by Mr. Collins to table the application of Scott Welsh pending verification of five years of experience after licensure in the State of New Jersey. The motion was unanimously carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Strouse, seconded by Mr. Collins to table the application of Karl Townsend pending receipt of a certificate of liability insurance. The motion was unanimously carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Strouse, seconded by Mr. Collins to propose to deny the application of Joseph Bill due to the lack of proof of five years of experience after licensure in the State of New Jersey. The motion was unanimously carried.

Review of Examination Applications

A motion was made by Mr. Marks seconded by Mr. Sharp to approve the master exam applications of Ryan Sloan, Donald Laffoon, and David Lennon. The motion was unanimously carried.

A motion was made by Mr. Marks, seconded by Mr. Sharp to approve the limited exam applications of Spencer O’Brien, Albert Pretko, Louis Kessler, Thomas Kilmer’s and Anthony Guerrera. The motion was unanimously carried.

Continuing Education

The following continuing education was reviewed and approved.

Broad Run Consultants Ltd. Hazard Recognition & Control for Electrical Workers, 5 hours

North Carolina Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors North Carolina Electrical Institute, 2006, 8 hours North Carolina Electrical Institute, 2007, 8 hours

Complaints to Assign

Complaint 01-04-07 has been assigned to Mr. Marks.

A motion was made by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. Collins to adjourn. The motion was unanimously carried. The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 a.m.
